If you are familiar with the work of Jim Carrey, starring in this comedy, then this is not going to be a complete surprise. The famous actor, well known for his crazy overacting style does it again.

A typically crazy plot for a movie that knows no boundaries in trying to extract a laugh out of you. A noble cause overall.

In parts the movie really comes together and is really funny. In other parts the main character Carl Allen (Jim Carrey) is a little predictable and over the top. As usual.

However this is a feel-good movie and nothing can take away that. Maybe not consistently funny and in parts, the editing could be sharper but you do get to laugh through the hero’s abnormal escapades forced by the delusion of always saying Yes.

Director Payton Reed managed to snatch a 7.3 rating on IMDB since the film gains somewhat ‘cult’ status.

What did you think about “Yes Man”?

I like Jim Carrey. First I saw him in The Mask and was fascinated.
I think it is hard to act like he does. It is easy to play a role where you are yourself or not very different – e.g. a detective, a husband or a taxi driver.
When you start making the thing J. Carrey does it gets a bit complicated…
