This is a great movie for all the shopaholics in the world who can truly relate to Rebecca Bloomwood who denies that she has a problem with shopping even with bad credit. Rebecca Bloomwood just can’t stop shopping and it’s really because of her past when she was a little girl and she only get discounted items from her mom who is a thrifty shopper. She envied her friends and her fascination for expensive clothes and branded stuff grew until it consumed her and left her with a big credit to pay.

Shopaholic Anonymous

She is a journalist who just lost her job and she ended up in a financing magazine with the man who gave him $20 that she needed to buy the green scarf whose mannequin convinced her to buy it. That’s really what happens in her mind every time she sees an item she really loves. She imagines mannequins talking to her like an excellent salesperson and she ends up buying stuff that she really doesn’t need.

It’s a complete fiasco and you just end up in laughter with this funny movie. I love the part where she was asked to talk to people who actually know how to speak Finnish because she absolutely has no idea how to speak the language but she just “pretends” she knows how to speak Finn. She slapped the guy and hysterically, the guy liked her. The woman in the green scarf was born out of that article she wrote that made girls like her learn about financing which is quite funny that it came from a woman who is buried in debt!

The ending is nice and it just makes you feel good. She did the right thing and she’s applauded for that. All in all, it’s A+

A rather stupid film. This shopping addiction is crazy and a bit got out of control in the film. Sadly there are a lot of people in this situation who buy things just to buy.

The kind of film you thank the torrents because they exist and they saved you the price you would have paid for the ticket.

…Plus nobody can force you in the street to take your new shopping goods to the charity. At least not in America.
